Inserito da: Dominatoras il Maggio 23, 2018, 02:42:07 AM
Hi again  :),here i'll present my 2000 650R witch i bought 7 months ago.I'm trying to do everything with this bike ... commuting, offroad trips and trailriding (sometimes tight trails).
It has some good staff on it as CRD skid plate,Acerbis tank (and OEM),Trailtech Vapor, wide pegs and American style headlight.

These were given to me with the bike +second rear wheel.

Here you'll see what i've done until now.

I have read to xr-italia that in Italy there is not knowing incidents about broken right foot pegs but i don't know if this is same in Greece. So i changed wright foot peg's screws with 12.9 Grade according to this

So i changed all of them with Prox kit
(https://i.imgur.com/E2vxmz8.jpg)

As i  said before i have second rear wheel so i was looking for another front wheel to have two sets of wheels, one for off road and another for commuting and trips.
As i was searching to web i saw an interesting and easy to do front 19'' wheel conversion. The NX250 wheel is almost plug and play with 650R.So i bought one and changed bearings, seals and inside collar (spacer).

And put Shinko's 705

First impessions are that this set up works very well to 650R.

Hi

I bought this headlight,total cost was 27euros https://www.ebay.com/itm/4x6-High-Low-Beam-LED-Healights-or-Honda-XR250-XR400-XR650-Suzuki-DRZ/263388858468?_trkparms=aid%3D555018%26algo%3DPL.SIM%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20180306143914%26meid%3D1cbd1f74db674b62ae61ceb79e5df2f3%26pid%3D100935%26rk%3D7%26rkt%3D12%26sd%3D254040207272%26itm%3D263388858468&_trksid=p2349624.c100935.m2460

I have a question: original headlight is AC powered, led headlight needs 9-30 DC Power; have you modified the electrical circuit or led headlight also works with AC power?

This is good question, unfortunately i don't have answer because i'm not good at all about electrics and i don't know if previous owners have done modifications to electrical circuit  ::)  .
I don't use blinkers (flashes) and for brake/taillight i use led bulb.In this video is stock headlight but with H4 55W (or 60W i don't remember) instead of stock 35W and it worked without problems.

Hubs are from pre '95 XR250R and XR600R (I think they are same).Front was plug and play and for rear seller  gave me axle (maby from 650R) which was decreased to lathe.Rear disc brake is from Transalp 650 (240mm) which fits perfect to XR250/600 hub.

Hello again.
I'm doing a top end rebuild and I need intake and exhaust valves. Are aftermarket (vesrah or similar) valves good for 650R or I must stay to OEM which are too expensive (especially Exhaust valve).
If yes does anyone knows where to search in Europe for aftermarket?

is difficult to find this kind of aftermarkets parts in Europe ,you can find a lot of alternatives in USA but you have to calculate if with shipping and custom fees the price is still better than OEM

Hi, I hope you all right from Corona virus situation.

I contact blitalia for gas tank, price is 490 (included shipping to Greece and crf radiator shrounds) and capacity is 7.5 litres. Has anyone from here purchased (bought) recently  this tank (last months) to tell me what is the price to Italy and capacity to liters?
I'm reading in this forum that old tanks were at 6.5 liters and new ones 8 liters. I know that one tank from other are not exactly the same but I want to know for new ones.
I'm not writing to other thread about this kind of tank because of English language.

I wish all of you to have  happy new year  :birra:

put some silicon paste on your chain clip, it prevents losing it .
A  case saver is a good upgrade, you can also built it by yourself

Yes I have read several failures from oem case saver and I must do something about it.
Thanks for chain clip tip.

Hi everybody

I have found in good price this Acerbis exhaust  but I can't find any information about that. Does anyone know something? Material, sound, weight etc.

acerbis is only a sticker, not the brand of that exhaust,
anyway I don't recognize the brand, maybe Giannelli

yes, it seems an old stile economic aftermarket.
Weight reduction ? ok
more hp ? not think too much, only a loud sound
if you want both a complete system is needed, headers + silencer  and from a good brand

I've found that Acerbis was selling in past some exhausts for 2stroke bikes
https://images.app.goo.gl/CnVB1opnQLqPeXqG9

Somewhere I saw similar exhaust of previous post for older 4stroke ktm exc model. Maybe some kind of cooperation between Acerbis and exhaust manufacturer?

Anyway I don't care so much for more power, I know that stock exhaust has very good performance (maybe the best at least low to mid rpms).

Any opinions for complete Remus double exhaust? There is a seller here in Greece who sales one in very good condition.

I want to install winkers and flash relay to my 650.Original (oem) flash relay  is quite expensive, can  anyone propose me an alternative (after market) flash relay?

the mosts works in the same way and the XR ins't an exception so, any cheap relay with the same pinouts should fit
